Do you think you’ll do a post on physiognomy? I took a Chaucer seminar where we discussed it, and I’ve found it interesting since then but haven’t gotten much more instruction.
The simplicity of much modern architecture and art is much less interesting than these works of art. Probably much less labor goes into them. How will future generations understand life today? We can see the daily lives of these artists.

There’s always so much more to see than what meets the eye. Sadly, today, we rarely take the time really see and contemplate.
Indeed—in modern culture we do a lot of looking, but not much seeing, and even less contemplating. This is a great loss.
